Privacy

IofR is free, has no advertising, and sells nothing. Nothing you enter is sold, shared for marketing, or used to advertise to you.

Who runs IofR

IofR is run by S. Harrison Knudson in Arlington, Virginia. Questions about your information: steele@knucode.com.

What IofR keeps

  • About you: first name, last name (optional, never shown to anyone), email, man or woman, birthdate, your institute, the ages you'd talk with, the lengths you'd meet for, and the times you're in the building.
  • Your answers: where you stand on each statement, which answers you'd accept, how much each matters, and any optional "what it means to me" note.
  • What you add: statements you propose, your votes, events you say you're going to, and meeting-spot suggestions.
  • Your meetings: who you were matched with, the time and place, your yes or no, what you said you'd be wearing, when you tapped "I've arrived," and whether you'd talk again.
  • Safety records: people you've blocked and any report you file.

IofR does not collect your phone's location, contacts, or photos, and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.

Who sees what

  • The person you're matched with sees your first name and age — and, only after you both say yes, what you'll be wearing.
  • Your email is shown to them only if you both say afterward that you'd talk again.
  • "What it means to me" notes are shown to members of your institute without your name.
  • Nobody can browse members. There are no profiles to look at.

Services IofR uses

These companies handle information only to run IofR, not for their own marketing:

  • Supabase hosts the database. It keeps backup copies for about a week.
  • Cloudflare serves the website, which means it sees your IP address when you visit.
  • Resend delivers IofR's emails to you.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.

On your device

Your browser stores your record's private link so the app opens to your record. Nothing else is stored, and there are no tracking cookies.

Keeping and deleting

Your information stays until you delete your record. To delete it, open your record and choose Delete my record, or email steele@knucode.com from the address you joined with. Deleting removes your details, your answers, your notes, your votes and your meetings. Backup copies age out within about a week. A report you filed is kept for safety, without your name attached.

Age

IofR is for adults eighteen and older. It is not meant for anyone younger, and a record found to belong to someone under eighteen is deleted.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Material changes are emailed to members.

IofR is an independent project. It is not run by, sponsored by, or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or its Seminaries and Institutes of Religion.
